Front Desk Manager- Hotel

Responsibilities

    General Purpose

    Welcome guests, check guests in and out of the hotel, deal with guest queries, provide prompt and professional guest service to meet guest needs and ensure guest satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Anticipate and handle any guest requests and satisfy their needs within acceptable guidelines
    • Welcome and greet guests and answer direct incoming calls
    • Inform guests of hotel rates and services
    • Make and confirm reservations for guests and ensure proper room allocation and Confirm relevant guest information
    • Verify guest's payment method and verify and imprint credit cards for authorization
    • Issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms
    • Maintain clear and accurate records of guest room bookings
    • Compute all guest billings, accurately post charges to guest rooms and house accounts
    • Complete and maintain any incident reports, daily activity reports or other reports requested by management
    • Close guest accounts and check guests out and review accounts and charges with guests during the check-out process, Process accurate payment of guest accounts
    • Monitor visitors to the hotel and enforce rules and policies of the hotel
    • Inform housekeeping when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning and maintain a neat and orderly front desk and reception area
    • Schedule the front office staff and supervise workload during shifts
    • Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide assistance
    • Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures

Required Skills

    • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication and customer service skills
    • A level of comfort in computer, bookkeeping, phone, and other administrative skills
    • Guest charges calculation and settling room payments as well as processing invoices and completing payment transactions
    • Maintain a functioning front desk
    • Good at prioritizing tasks without missing a beat
    • Dealing with Guests in a professional, calm manner
    • Guest/customer relations experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
    • Strong working knowledge of relevant computer software including MS Office and booking and payment systems
